Software Engineer - Data (Python)

What you will do

• Build production backend software and data systems for a critical banking initiative.
• Develop cloud-native applications and data solutions using modern architecture.
• Execute enterprise-scale data migration, movement, and transformation in cloud environments.
• Architect real-time, event-driven data streams and distributed batch or stream processing systems.
• Design and optimize cloud data warehouses, data models, and large-scale data platforms.
• Implement data quality controls, governance, and enterprise ETL pipelines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of application development experience with strong Python programming skills.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• 4+ years of experience with relational databases, including PostgreSQL, and complex SQL queries.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Apache Spark, Kafka or AWS Kinesis, and Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools.
• Experience with Snowflake and OneLake data warehousing, performance optimization, and modeling.
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent additional specialized training and progressively responsible technology experience.

Nice to have

• Java development experience.
• Experience with AWS Glue or other AWS data integration services.
• UNIX/Linux experience, including basic shell scripting.
• Agile engineering experience or prior consulting and client-facing collaboration.
