Middle/Senior Backend Engineer (Go)

Location: Remote in Russia; cities listed: Moscow and Perm. Working hours: 10:00–19:00.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Go backend services for the hirify.global ID identity and access management platform.
• Design OAuth 2.0 and OIDC flows, token introspection, refresh strategies, and authentication methods.
• Extend the Ory ecosystem, including Hydra and Kratos, through the custom Auth API orchestrator and plugin architecture.
• Optimize PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and CockroachDB usage for high performance and geo-distributed data residency.
• Build reliable microservices for millions of concurrent users and contribute to zero-downtime migration from legacy hirify.global Login.
• Collaborate on SDK and widget integrations, testing, documentation, code reviews, and production support.

Requirements

• 2+ years of commercial backend development experience.
• Strong Go development skills, including concurrency patterns and performance profiling.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis, including query optimization and indexing strategies.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0/OIDC or strong motivation to learn, plus web security fundamentals such as CSRF, XSS, cookie security, TLS, and secure token storage.
• Experience with Docker, Git, Nginx, unit testing, and collaborative development workflows.
• Good English reading skills for technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices, distributed systems, REST APIs, Swagger/OpenAPI, CI/CD, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Ory, CockroachDB, NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Jira, and IAM compliance requirements such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR data minimization, and audit logging.
• Practical experience using AI tools such as Claude, Copilot, or Cursor for engineering work.
