Software Engineer (PHP/Go)

Location: Hybrid, with offices in Vilnius and Kaunas; work is also offered from home or anywhere in the world.

Salary: Gross salary starting from €5,000 per month, depending on experience and skills.

What you will do

• Build and run public and private APIs and internal services for the email platform.
• Develop provisioning, authentication, webhooks, websockets, webmail, contacts, calendar, migration, routing, policy, and spam-filtering systems.
• Own features end to end, from discovery and implementation through deployment and production follow-up.
• Work primarily with PHP and Laravel, using Go for high-scale and high-availability services.
• Monitor and improve production performance with Grafana and Sentry.
• Improve tooling, automation, documentation, code quality, and security through collaboration and reviews.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals, clean architecture, and sound engineering judgment.
• Experience with Go and strong day-to-day PHP development skills.
• Understanding of system design, distributed event-driven systems, queues, retries, idempotency, databases, caches, and data pipelines.
• Knowledge of REST API design, versioning, backward compatibility, and API usability.
• Familiarity with IMAP, SMTP, WebSockets, pub/sub, RabbitMQ, Kafka or Redpanda, and ClickHouse.
• Comfort working with AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot.
