Senior Fraud Operations Expert (Fintech)

Location: Berlin, Germany; opportunity to work from abroad is available, and international relocation support is provided if required.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end triage, investigation, and resolution of potential fraud cases flagged by monitoring systems or business teams.
• Identify fraud patterns, operational gaps, inefficiencies, and emerging risks.
• Propose improvements to fraud processes, detection strategies, and operational tooling.
• Collaborate with internal teams to share actionable, data-driven insights.
• Provide on-call coverage during early and late hours and on weekends when required.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in fraud operations within fintech, payments, or a similar environment.
• Deep understanding of fraud typologies and the ability to translate complex patterns into actionable insights.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, self-direction, and responsibility for case resolution.
• SQL skills or experience with another programming language for querying data and analyzing patterns.
• Fluency in German and excellent English, both written and spoken.
