TL;DR
Accounts Payable Analyst (Treasury Operations) (Payment Processing/Treasury): Managing end-to-end vendor payments, employee reimbursements, cash management, and cross-border transactions with an accent on banking operations, financial controls, and payment accuracy. Focus on optimizing payment cycles, supporting FX and multi-currency transactions, improving automation, and resolving complex payment and reconciliation issues.
Location: Bucharest, Romania; hybrid model with normally two days per week in the office near Victoriei Subway

What you will do
- Oversee and execute vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and other outgoing payments in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage payment cycles for accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with cash flow strategies.
- Maintain banking partner relationships, resolve payment issues, and support seamless payment execution.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and treasury policies.
- Support month-end and year-end closing, FX payments, cross-border transactions, and treasury reporting.
- Analyze payment trends, discrepancies, and reconciliations while identifying process improvements and automation opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Treasury Operations, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of payment processes, banking systems, treasury operations, and financial controls.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle and payment platforms.
- Familiarity with fraud prevention, SOX controls, Excel, data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and stakeholder management skills in a multinational environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with cross-border payments and multi-currency transactions.
- Knowledge of treasury management systems and banking portals.
- Experience with process automation or Accounts Payable transformation initiatives.
