Analytics Engineer II (AI)

Location: Manila, Philippines. Hybrid work with an in-office expectation of at least 50% of the time monthly, typically three days per week.

What you will do

• Own financial data products from requirements and modeling through implementation, validation, and production operations.
• Define metrics and data quality checks, onboard business domains, and build dimensional models, ETL pipelines, documentation, and data dictionaries.
• Contribute to application and service layers, deployments, alerting, observability, and partner-facing platform workflows.
• Investigate discrepancies and anomalies, identify root causes, and convert findings into durable automated checks.
• Use AI agents for data modeling, production implementation, and agentic workflow design while defining acceptance criteria and validating generated output.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, Finance, Compliance, and Customer Success to communicate findings and align data solutions with business goals.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an analytics engineer or equivalent.
• Expert-level SQL, Git, and proficiency in Python, Scala, Java, or a similar programming language.
• Experience with dimensional data modeling, ETL design and maintenance, analytical model deployment, and distributed query or cloud data platforms such as Trino, Spark, Snowflake, or Redshift.
• Experience with workflow orchestration such as Airflow or Azkaban, plus knowledge of logging, error handling, CI/CD, and AWS.
• Ability to validate AI-generated work, design evaluation criteria, and determine where human review is required.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Software engineering experience building and operating production services.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts, financial data, reconciliation, ledgers, or regulated reporting.
• Experience building data-facing web applications or internal tools and introducing data quality practices.
