Trading Operations Specialist (Algorithmic Trading)

Location: Onsite at the Malta office; relocation to Malta is required.

What you will do

• Deploy and execute trading strategies in alignment with business objectives.
• Oversee pre-trade reviews, live trade monitoring, open positions, and post-trade activities.
• Lead first-line trading risk management, including algorithm stress testing and trade execution monitoring.
• Maintain access to and operate the kill switch to mitigate trading risks promptly.
• Raise risk and market abuse alerts to the CEO, compliance team, and relevant stakeholders.
• Liaise with regulators and collaborate with the trading desk on compliant trading operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in trading operations, risk management, and market surveillance within the financial industry.
• Strong understanding of trading strategies, algorithms, risk metrics, and market dynamics.
• Strong analytical, communication, and real-time decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with trading platforms, automated monitoring tools, and risk management software.
