Design Director (Branding)

Location: Remote, associated with New York City, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

What you will do

• Own the creative quality and direction of brand, web, and launch projects from early concepts through final delivery.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary design team, supporting craft, strategic thinking, presentation skills, and independent execution.
• Act as the senior creative partner for key clients, leading reviews, presentations, feedback discussions, and creative decisions.
• Participate in discovery and new business by shaping creative approaches and leading or supporting pitches.
• Improve critiques, quality assurance, creative workflows, case studies, and the overall operation of the brand practice.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in brand, design, or creative roles, ideally in a strong branding or creative agency environment.
• Exceptional design judgment and craft, with the ability to push work beyond obvious solutions.
• Strong client communication and presentation skills, including experience working with founders and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to move between high-level creative direction, strategy, and hands-on execution.
• High ownership, reliability, composure under pressure, and a drive to improve work, processes, and teams.
