Intern P&C Underwriting Transformation (AI)

Location: Zurich, Switzerland; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the office

What you will do

• Research how AI and digital tools can address real underwriting challenges.
• Support pilot programmes by coordinating activities, tracking progress, and documenting learnings.
• Conduct business analysis, map workflows, identify process gaps, and translate business needs into actionable insights.
• Contribute to value assessments by measuring and communicating the impact of transformation initiatives.
• Support adoption and change-management activities, including training materials and stakeholder engagement.
• Prepare presentations and reports and collaborate with business, technology, and change-management teams.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, data science, computer science, information systems, engineering, economics, or a related field.
• Analytical and structured thinking, with the ability to develop clear, evidence-based recommendations.
• Familiarity with AI, data, or digital transformation through coursework, projects, internships, extracurricular activities, or hands-on experimentation.
• Ability to understand business needs and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort using quantitative and qualitative evidence.
• Non-EU/EFTA and UK citizens must provide a certificate from a Swiss university confirming that the internship is integral to their course of study.

Nice to have

• Experience with generative AI tools, prompt design, automation, data analysis, or rapid prototyping.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Python, SQL, or similar tools.
• Project coordination experience and familiarity with agile ways of working.
• Knowledge of insurance, financial services, or underwriting processes.
• Experience with change management, user research, training, or stakeholder engagement; additional languages are advantageous.
