HR Business Partner (Fixed Term) (UK HR): Supporting managers and employees across the UK and Ireland with employee relations, lifecycle processes, talent planning, compensation reviews, and organizational change with an accent on UK employment law, HR operations, and stakeholder partnership. Focus on resolving complex employee relations cases, guiding organizational change, and ensuring compliant performance, compensation, and retention processes.

Location: Oxford, United Kingdom; hybrid working arrangement

Salary: GBP 36,400–GBP 55,000 gross per year

What you will do

  • Act as the first point of contact for managers and employees on HR policies, processes, systems, and employment law.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle, including offers, probation, contract changes, promotions, and leaver management.
  • Advise managers on employee relations cases involving absence, performance, disciplinary, and grievance matters.
  • Partner with Centers of Excellence on compensation, training, development, diversity and inclusion, and recruitment priorities.
  • Support restructures, team moves, role redesign, performance cycles, incentive planning, and compensation reviews.
  • Drive engagement, retention, talent planning, succession planning, and legally compliant HR processes.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in a generalist HR role, such as HR Business Partner, HR Advisor, or People Officer.
  • Strong HR operations experience with excellent attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Confidence advising managers on core people processes and resolving complex issues.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, prioritization, and independent working skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
