Junior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote across Canada; option to work from the Toronto-based office

Salary: $80,000–$110,000 CAD total target cash compensation per year

What you will do

• Develop full-stack features for an AI-powered web application using Python, React, Redux, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Integrate AI models and APIs for document processing, data extraction, and recommendation engines.
• Build scalable and reliable backend services that support AI workflows.
• Create intuitive user experiences for AI-powered capabilities.
• Participate in architecture planning, code reviews, release planning, and ideation sessions.
• Own feature development end to end, coordinate with QA and other teams, and help improve release flow.

Requirements

• Strong full-stack development skills across backend and frontend technologies.
• Hands-on experience or projects involving AI APIs or models, including prompt engineering.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts through coursework, side projects, or work experience.
• Experience with Python, React, Redux, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Ability to learn quickly, work autonomously, collaborate effectively, and solve complex problems with attention to detail.
• Ability to work remotely from Canada.
