Focus on designing multi-cloud data planes, normalizing authentication and API versioning, and simplifying integrations across real-time, recent-history, and deep-history services.
Location: London - Fruit & Wool Exchange; hybrid working available.

What you will do
- Build a high-performance Python SDK as the unified entry point for customers and internal users accessing market data and BigQuery datasets.
- Develop and maintain open-source SDKs in Python and C++, public schema registries, API documentation, reference materials, tutorials, code samples, and dashboard templates.
- Expand cloud-based data distribution with common messaging and abstraction layers for large and historical datasets.
- Establish consistent schemas, unified authentication, downstream distribution mechanisms, telemetry, GitHub governance, and CI/CD pipelines for PyPI publishing.
- Audit existing APIs and define consolidation, API design, versioning, and developer-experience standards across Data Services.
- Work directly with customers, product teams, technology teams, and business-intelligence stakeholders to translate feedback into requirements and resolve integration challenges.
Requirements
- Strong technical foundation and genuine interest in capital-markets data, including futures, options, and cash markets.
- Experience designing and building cloud-native SDKs and APIs.
- Expert-level Python skills and the ability to write clean, idiomatic, robust code for public consumption.
- Experience bridging business strategy, engineering, developer experience, and technical writing.
- Working knowledge of GCP, Apigee, WebSockets, REST, GCS, OAuth 2.0, GitHub, Protobuf or Avro, and SQL.
