Data Engineer (Fintech)

🚀 We’re hiring: Data Engineer | Remote | 3–6 Month Contract

We’re looking for a Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain reliable, scalable data pipelines and data warehouse solutions supporting BI, analytics, operational reporting, and data-driven decision-making.

The role will work with data from trading, CRM, payment, financial, and other operational systems.

🔹 2+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics Engineering, or a similar data-focused role
🔹 Strong knowledge of SQL, including complex queries, joins, aggregations, window functions, query optimisation, and data manipulation
🔹 Practical experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines
🔹 Experience with relational databases and data warehouse solutions
🔹 Knowledge of data modelling, including fact and dimension tables and star-schema concepts
🔹 Experience with stored procedures, views, functions, and other database objects
🔹 Experience with SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, and/or Power BI
🔹 At least 1 year of experience with Power BI or a comparable BI/reporting platform
🔹 Experience with data quality, validation, reconciliation, and monitoring
🔹 Experience troubleshooting data-related issues across development and production environments
🔹 Good written and verbal English communication skills

💡 Considered an advantage:

Experience in forex, CFD, brokerage, fintech, banking, payments, or financial services
Familiarity with trading-related data
Experience with MetaTrader 4/5, CRM platforms, payment providers, or liquidity and market-data sources
Python for data processing, automation, or analysis
Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar platforms
