R&D Engineer I (Medical Devices)

Location: Geleen, Limburg, Netherlands

Salary: EUR 47,360–71,040 per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

• Perform engineering analyses, calculations, and modelling to evaluate product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Design, develop, prototype, and test surgical instruments and related components.
• Support product development from concept through verification, market introduction, and scale-up.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes including laser cutting, laser welding, cleaning, and assembly.
• Execute experiments, analyse results, and apply findings to improve product performance and technical decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, applied physics, industrial engineering, or a similar field.
• Mastery of Dutch and English is required.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to consider problems from different perspectives.
• Hands-on mentality, flexibility, willingness to learn, and strong teamwork skills.
