Head of People Operations & Automation (AI)

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania; 4 days onsite and 1 day remote. Work arrangements for roles based in Klaipėda or Riga depend on the specific position.

Gross salary: €6,000–€8,000 per month.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a two-person People Operations team, set priorities, and establish a culture of ownership and service.
• Build workflows, a knowledge base, and AI-powered self-service tools for employees and managers.
• Own the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contract changes, internal moves, leave, offboarding, and employee records.
• Oversee EoR setups, contractor operations, and new-country launches with appropriate documentation and compliance controls.
• Own the HR technology stack, starting with Personio, including integrations, migrations, access controls, data quality, and automation.
• Build workforce dashboards and reporting, and collaborate with Finance, Legal, IT, and external providers on systems and data accuracy.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in People or HR Operations, including at least 2 years leading a team.
• Hands-on experience with multi-country payroll, EoR, and employment compliance in Europe; knowledge of Lithuanian labor law is required.
• Experience managing contractors or freelancers at scale and understanding related risks.
• Hands-on HRIS experience with Personio, HiBob, or a similar platform, including implementation or migration and process automation.
• Experience building reports and dashboards and turning workforce data into recommendations.
• Lithuanian and fluent English are required, along with sound judgment when applying AI to People Operations.
