IT Manager (AI): Leading a lean IT engineering team and operating the identity, Apple device, support, and SaaS systems that keep a digital-first payments company secure and productive with an accent on IAM, macOS management, automation, and operational data. Focus on designing resilient IT services, implementing AI-enabled workflows, managing vendors and budgets, and solving complex escalations across the business.
Location: Remote in the UK, Ireland, or Portugal

What you will do
- Lead, coach, and develop a lean team of IT engineers while supporting complex escalations hands-on.
- Own Okta identity and access management, including user lifecycle processes, integrations, and administration.
- Manage macOS, Apple devices, and endpoint tooling with secure-by-default and low-friction practices.
- Drive the use of data, automation, and AI to reduce manual work and improve IT operations.
- Own support tooling, service-level agreements, operational metrics, IT budgeting, and vendor relationships.
- Maintain security and resilience practices, including CIS Benchmarks, patching, disaster recovery, and collaboration with the Security team.
Requirements
- Experience leading or managing a technical IT team and developing people while delivering measurable outcomes.
- Strong systems administration and infrastructure fundamentals, with the ability to handle difficult technical escalations.
- Hands-on production experience with an IAM platform, ideally Okta, including lifecycle automation and integrations.
- In-depth knowledge of macOS and Apple hardware, preferably in a corporate or enterprise environment.
- Experience using AI, automation, data, or workflows to improve operational leverage.
- Experience managing budgets and vendors, delivering IT projects end-to-end, and applying core security and compliance practices.
