Fraud Operations Intern

Location: Remote from Mexico; Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-5:30 pm local time

Salary: $800 USD gross monthly

What you will do

• Monitor real-time transactions and customer behavior flagged for fraud or abuse.
• Investigate transactions and account patterns using internal policies, review methodologies, and data analysis.
• Block fraudulent or high-risk users and clear false-positive alerts.
• Research fraud trends and user behavior to support machine learning models, rules, and detection systems.
• Collaborate with analysts, operations specialists, data scientists, and engineers to improve fraud prevention tools and processes.
• Resolve queued cases within service-level agreements and handle stakeholder escalations.

Requirements

• Experience analyzing data and making decisions in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking, problem-solving, analytical, business judgment, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently after training and maintain high standards of execution.
• Demonstrated experience with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required.
• Ability to work full-time from Mexico during the specified local working hours.
