Staff Rust Engineer (Solana)

Location: New York, on-site

hirify.global is partnered with a high-volume consumer trading platform on Solana that is expanding into a full multichain trading suite.

What you will do

• Design, build, deploy, monitor, and iterate on high-performance Solana programs in Rust.
• Optimize compute usage, account layouts, and transaction flows for latency and throughput.
• Own correctness, security, safe upgrades, and operational reliability in production.
• Define boundaries between on-chain and off-chain systems with backend and frontend engineers.
• Shape protocol design, economic mechanics, and system constraints.
• Ship changes quickly for a large live user base under sustained transaction volume.

Requirements

• Production experience building and operating Solana programs in Rust at real scale.
• Experience with sustained user volume, operational pressure, performance bottlenecks, edge cases, and failure modes.
• Security-first mindset for adversarial environments.
• Independent judgment and ability to make sound technical decisions with incomplete information.
• Ability to work on-site in New York.

Nice to have

• Experience with trading systems, exchanges, or other high-throughput infrastructure.
• Background in low-latency or high-frequency environments.
