Senior Streaming Data Engineer

Location: Hybrid or fully remote; company-supported relocation.

What you will do

• Build and evolve a shared streaming data processing framework using Apache Flink and Spark Structured Streaming.
• Design streaming solutions for high-load data infrastructure and build stateful and stateless streaming applications.
• Define stream processing standards, engineering approaches, and best practices across the company.
• Evaluate, select, and implement tools and technologies for large-scale data processing.
• Influence the technology stack and engineering practices of the Data & AI Platform.

Requirements

• Strong Java and/or Scala programming skills.
• Hands-on experience building streaming applications with Apache Flink and/or Spark Structured Streaming.
• Strong understanding of stream processing, including stateful and stateless processing.
• Good SQL skills and a solid understanding of core data concepts.
• Understanding of distributed data processing systems and their architecture.
• Ability to make technical decisions independently and navigate complex engineering challenges.
