Software Engineering Internship 2027 (Quantum Computing)

What you will do

• Design and ship an internal operations web application for Engineering and Support teams.
• Build searchable and filterable views of processed platform jobs, including detailed job investigation.
• Implement operational controls, job management, and integration with engineering tickets.
• Create dashboards and alerts for live platform health and usage visibility.
• Define architecture, APIs, data flows, security and authorization, error handling, monitoring, deployment, and testing strategy.
• Implement, test, document, and hand over a production system with mentorship from full-time engineers.

Requirements

• Final-year student in computer science, software engineering, or a related degree, or enrolled in a master's programme.
• Solid programming ability in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or a comparable language.
• Familiarity with web application development and relational databases.
• Clear written communication, self-direction, and the ability to complete work independently.
• Ability to work on-site in Dublin 2, Ireland for the seven-month internship from February through August 2027.

Nice to have

• Experience with React, FastAPI, or PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of REST API design, testing frameworks, Docker, or CI/CD.
• Exposure to production systems, monitoring, or on-call work.
• Curiosity about quantum computing.
