Oracle DevOps Engineer

Location: Bern, Switzerland, with the option to work from a hirify.global office in Switzerland or from a home office.

What you will do

• Operate and optimize Oracle databases supporting business-critical customer systems.
• Standardize and automate platforms and operational processes with the team.
• Use Oracle technologies, Ansible, Jenkins, and CI/CD tools to improve platform operations.
• Work with environments running on AIX, Solaris, Linux/Unix, Exadata Cloud@Customer, and OCI.
• Drive continuous improvement and automate recurring manual processes.

Requirements

• Experience operating and administering Oracle databases.
• Hands-on enterprise experience with Ansible and strong knowledge of automating and standardizing operational processes.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
• Structured, solution-oriented, and independent working style.
• Good written and spoken English; German language skills are an advantage.

Nice to have

• Experience with Exadata, OCI, SQL/PLSQL, RMAN, Data Guard, or Agentic-Driven Operations.
• Interest in further developing platforms and automation practices.
• Enjoyment of teamwork and technically challenging environments.
