Payment Program Manager (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead card program, product, market, and currency launches from scoping and requirements through production release.
• Manage Visa and Mastercard scheme onboarding, BIN and product setup, partner coordination, and scheme submissions.
• Coordinate end-to-end testing, physical and virtual card launches, vendor production, and program sign-off.
• Drive Apple Pay and Google Pay wallet launches, issuer onboarding, certification, tokenisation monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Maintain compliance with scheme rules, mandates, and releases while supporting reporting, controls, escalations, and audits.
• Manage multiple projects, translate partner needs into requirements for Product and Engineering, and improve program delivery through documentation, AI, and automation.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of payments experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on card program implementation.
• Experience launching and managing programs with both Visa and Mastercard.
• Experience with digital wallets and tokenisation, ideally including an Apple Pay issuer launch.
• Understanding of the card lifecycle, including authorisation, clearing, settlement, 3DS, tokenisation, and physical card production.
• Technical fluency with API documentation, transaction data, test results, and day-to-day collaboration with engineers.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

• Network within card schemes and the wider issuing ecosystem.
• Experience with commercial, corporate, travel, virtual, or multi-currency card programs.
• Exposure to European and global card programs.
• Proficient SQL or data analysis skills.
