Go Developer (Fintech)

Location: Worldwide. Fully remote, office-based, or hybrid work is available.

Salary: EUR 3,400–5,200 gross per month. Final compensation depends on experience, location, and professional growth.

What you will do

• Build and evolve a real-time cross-selling platform with data flows and personalized insurance offers.
• Develop backend services for multiple user-facing applications using a gRPC-based microservice architecture.
• Design and maintain REST and gRPC APIs integrating insurance platforms, risk scoring, KYC, payments, and other third-party services.
• Model transactional data in PostgreSQL for policies, claims, customer records, and audit trails.
• Implement reliable event-driven workflows with RabbitMQ or Kafka and maintain unit and integration tests for monetary and claims-related logic.
• Improve observability, scalability, availability, resilience, and fault tolerance with Grafana, Prometheus, code reviews, and architectural contributions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of commercial software development experience, including 5+ years of production Go development.
• Higher education in Computer Science or a related software development field.
• Strong Go expertise, including concurrency with goroutines and channels, and production-grade gRPC microservices.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, REST APIs, containerized backend deployments, RabbitMQ or Kafka, and automated unit and integration testing.
• Experience with Grafana and Prometheus, scalable high-throughput systems, fault tolerance, idempotency, SLAs, and service reliability.
• English at Upper-Intermediate level or higher; experience with Agile/Scrum, complex integrations, fintech or banking, AI implementation, and end-to-end backend ownership.

Nice to have

• Experience in insurance or other regulated industries.
• Knowledge of GDPR, PCI DSS, and core insurance concepts such as policies, underwriting, and claims lifecycle.
