Segment Producer, CNBC International

What you will do

• Develop and produce live and taped guest segments for CNBC International.
• Generate original content ideas and identify compelling guests and sources.
• Conduct guest pre-interviews and arrange live or recorded appearances.
• Write copy and teases, and secure supporting video and sound elements.
• Visualize and produce segments, develop recurring franchises, and contribute creative ideas.
• Maintain relationships with news sources and assist line producers with show production.

Requirements

• Strong editorial judgment and the ability to work creatively under daily deadline pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong sense of visual storytelling.
• Ability to accommodate a demanding production schedule, including weekends and some holidays when required.
• Three or more years of experience booking and producing segments in a live television environment is preferred.
• Experience with writing, research, communication, business markets, or financial news is preferred.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CNBC News standards.
• Experience at a financial news network and a strong understanding of financial markets.
