Principal Machine Learning Engineer (Signals and Measurement)

Location: Bellevue, Los Angeles, New York, Palo Alto, or Seattle; expected to work in an office 4+ days per week under hirify.global's “default together” policy.

Base salary: $235,000–$414,000 annually depending on U.S. pay zone; the role is also eligible for RSUs.

What you will do

• Design and develop machine learning systems across the third-party signal lifecycle, including acquisition, curation, matching, attribution, and causal measurement.
• Design, train, implement, and scale machine learning models supporting monetization, recommendation, and ranking use cases.
• Set machine learning strategy with cross-functional teams and align solutions with product and company objectives.
• Evaluate product requirements and technical trade-offs while delivering scalable and reliable machine learning solutions.
• Improve the ML technology stack, availability, operational excellence, and cost management.
• Provide technical direction, mentorship, and leadership across the machine learning community.

Requirements

• 11+ years of industry experience in machine learning.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning and deep learning algorithms, especially for advertising measurement, recommendation, or search.
• Experience developing and shipping performant, scalable recommendation or ranking models.
• Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or related deep learning frameworks.
• Strong programming, software design, problem-solving, collaboration, and mentorship skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with signals and measurement, identity resolution, anomaly detection, attribution, or causal measurement.
• Experience in online advertising, ad targeting, ranking, auctions, or marketplace optimization.
• Advanced degree in machine learning, computer vision, mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience working with executives and distributed, multi-site, cross-functional organizations.
• Experience contributing to AI publications.
