Data Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote US; occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $97,900–$133,500 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Ingest data from internal and external sources using cloud-native platforms and software development best practices.
• Develop software tools using artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big-data techniques to cleanse, organize, and transform data into insights and actions.
• Design, develop, test, release, and support data processing pipelines.
• Expose large datasets to applications and analytics solutions through APIs.
• Document database design, configuration, and performance processes.
• Apply established procedures while making decisions on work methods with minimal direction and contributing to improved consumer experiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 5 years of technical experience.
• 5 years of experience with Databricks, Spark, and Scala.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational database models.
• Experience designing, developing, and testing software applications and/or infrastructure.
• Experience with APIs for exposing large datasets to applications and data analytics solutions.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Pipelines, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
• Experience with Agile, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
• Ability to work from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions and protect member PHI/HIPAA information.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform.
