Safety Officer (Oil & Gas)

What you will do

• Inspect equipment, tools, safety devices, and working conditions at oil and gas facilities.
• Check safety belts, ladders, ropes, rubber goods, and other tools, replacing items that do not meet safety requirements.
• Observe crews, report unsafe acts and weak compliance with required safety precautions, and encourage hazard reporting.
• Examine ditches and tunnels, recommend preventive bracing, and identify conditions that could endanger workers.
• Investigate accidents, determine root causes, and develop preventive measures.
• Instruct workers in the use of safety equipment and safe work methods while ensuring compliance with SHE procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of oil and gas maintenance experience with a high school qualification, or 6 years with a diploma.
• Strong technical understanding of maintenance activities related to safety.
• Excellent organization and communication skills with a proactive working style.
• Proven leadership experience in large organizations.
• Mature judgment under pressure and the ability to resolve problems.
• Strategic management skills.
