What you will do

  • Prepare site-specific safety plans, activity hazard analyses, safety reports, and corrective action plans.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, hirify.global, and applicable project safety standards.
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, follow-up inspections, safety meetings, and personnel training.
  • Review subcontractor safety qualifications and participate in pre-construction meetings.
  • Lead accident and incident investigations and develop practical safety solutions with project supervision.
  • Maintain a positive safety culture and coordinate effectively with customers, coworkers, supervisors, and management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health Engineering or a related field.
  • At least five years of construction industry safety experience on similar projects.
  • At least 24 hours of formal safety training annually over the past five years, including competent-person training in applicable construction safety areas.
  • Construction Health and Safety Technician certification, EM385-1-1 40-hour Safety Certification, and current OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification and NFPA 70E flash-training certification.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong written and verbal communication skills, organization, and proven OSHA compliance experience.
