Agriculture & Seeds Manager, Africa & Trading (Agriculture and Seed Development): Building and implementing farming systems for sustainable tomato and pepper supply while developing Heinz Seed sales and variety strategies in Egypt with an accent on grower productivity, supply reliability, quality, cost, and sustainability. Focus on leading agriculture and seed teams, managing field trials and demand-generation events, optimizing seed portfolios, and delivering commercial growth through farmer and customer partnerships.
Location: 6 October Factory and field-based production sites in Egypt; frequent domestic and international travel, outdoor field work throughout the year, and physical farming activities are required.

What you will do
- Lead the Egypt Agriculture & Seed team, including two direct reports and four agronomists.
- Develop and implement regional farming strategies for reliable tomato and pepper supply, improving productivity, predictability, cost, quality, and sustainability.
- Provide technical guidance to partner farmers and ensure on-time, in-full delivery against production and quality targets.
- Lead Heinz Seed trialing, development, demand-generation activities, sales forecasting, and commercial growth in Egypt.
- Define the one-, three-to-five-, and five-plus-year Heinz Seed variety portfolio and set the Egypt seed pricing policy.
- Oversee farmer and customer contracting, traceability, sustainability certification, KPI reporting, and the Agriculture & Seed Monthly Performance Review.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in plant science, agriculture, agronomy, or a related field.
- At least seven years of hands-on experience in tomato or similar crop production, including two years in management.
- Passion for production agriculture and field-based improvement activities.
- Good command of English is required.
- Microsoft Office 365 skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently, self-manage, travel extensively, and work outdoors in all seasons.
