TL;DR
Team Member, Cultivation - Future Opportunities (Cannabis Cultivation): Supporting cannabis plant propagation and cultivation at the Aurora River facility with an accent on cloning, plant care, crop monitoring, sanitation, and compliance. Focus on identifying pests and diseases, maintaining biosecurity, following GMP and SOP requirements, and performing physically demanding production work in controlled growing environments.

Location: Bradford, Ontario, Canada. Onsite production role requiring work in warm, humid cultivation areas, including weekends, holidays, and after-hours work as needed.

Salary: $19.44 CAD to start

What you will do

  • Support cannabis propagation through cloning, cutting, rooting, transplanting, pruning, defoliating, watering, and crop maintenance.
  • Monitor plants and crops for health issues, pests, diseases, abnormalities, and growth concerns.
  • Release biological control agents as part of the Integrated Pest Management program.
  • Participate in harvesting, crop turnover, sanitation, tool cleaning, and maintenance of propagation areas.
  • Document completed tasks, report issues to propagation leads, and communicate production concerns to relevant stakeholders.
  • Follow cultivation SOPs, GMP requirements, Health Canada regulations, ISO standards, occupational safety rules, and biosecurity procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of plant propagation, cloning, rooting, early plant growth, contamination risks, and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work efficiently with a team, communicate observations, solve problems, and work unsupervised.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30 lbs; stand for long periods; bend, squat, climb and work on ladders.
  • Ability to work in temperatures of 20–32°C with 50–70% humidity, wear full PPE, and handle chemicals or pesticides when required.
  • Medical screening is required toward the end of the recruitment process.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in plant care, propagation, horticulture, agriculture, or a related field.
  • Training or certification in horticulture, agriculture, or propagation techniques.
  • Grower Pesticide Safety Course certification.
