Mid/Senior Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin)

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot team-owned services on a global-scale communication platform.
• Own produced code throughout development, testing, deployment, and production operation.
• Build well-designed, testable, clean, and scalable software for the email communication channel.
• Work primarily on backend development while expanding toward full-stack development, databases, system design, alerting, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Product Management on feature development and delivery.
• Explore and integrate AI or LLM-based capabilities into product features where relevant.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with concurrent and multi-tier applications.
• Understanding of RESTful services and code testing practices.
• Ability to use modern development approaches, including AI-assisted coding tools and agents.
• Appreciation for code reviews and ownership of production-quality code.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Kotlin, Python, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Maven, or Canary.
• Knowledge of MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar data and messaging technologies.
• Experience designing caching strategies and asynchronous communication patterns with monitoring and observability.
