Software Engineer II (AI)

What you will do

• Develop, deploy, and maintain AI-enabled tools, environments, and workflows for Hardware System Verification Software teams.
• Build internal utilities, automation scripts, and services that support daily engineering work.
• Integrate AI solutions with engineering infrastructure, development environments, source repositories, knowledge sources, and enterprise platforms.
• Apply LLM and agent concepts to knowledge retrieval, task automation, tool usage, and workflow orchestration.
• Design guardrails, access controls, and secure development environments for responsible AI deployment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of software development experience.
• Advanced Python proficiency and experience building internal tools, automation, services, or engineering productivity solutions.
• Understanding of LLMs, AI agents, prompt engineering, tool calling, and RAG-based workflows.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and the ability to troubleshoot issues and support engineering users.
• Very good spoken and written English and Portuguese are required.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating AI tools with CI/CD systems, enterprise platforms, knowledge bases, or access-control systems.
• Knowledge of AI evaluation, benchmarking, model-quality measurement, vector databases, embeddings, or AI knowledge retrieval.
• Familiarity with LangChain, CrewAI, LangGraph, AutoGen, or similar agent frameworks.
• Experience with C++ or TCL.
• Knowledge of EDA, VLSI design, design verification, emulation, prototyping, Palladium, or Protium workflows.
