Senior Manager, Operations Strategy, Information Security

Location: San Francisco, United States

Salary: $250,000–$300,000 base pay per year, plus potential equity and bonus.

What you will do

• Build and run annual and quarterly planning, roadmap, prioritization, resource planning, and risk assessment processes for Information Security and IT.
• Coordinate QBRs and operating reviews, preparing reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, decisions, and leadership actions.
• Track security OKRs, key risk indicators, maturity metrics, and operational health measures through dashboards and company reporting.
• Design and improve workflows for alert investigations, service requests, incident management, policy updates, knowledge management, and AI-assisted security operations.
• Lead complex cross-functional security and IT programs, change management, post-incident reviews, and operational improvement initiatives.
• Build, manage, coach, and develop a team of Technical Program Managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in strategy and operations, business operations, technical program management, security programs, or a related field.
• Experience owning complex cross-functional programs end to end, including planning, dependency mapping, stakeholder alignment, risk management, execution tracking, and executive reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical and risk topics to executives.
• Experience designing operating rhythms such as annual and quarterly planning, OKRs, KPIs, QBRs, risk reviews, or executive dashboards.
• Experience leading, coaching, or developing program managers or other operational professionals.

Nice to have

• Chief of staff or strategy and operations experience within an Information Security organization or alongside a CISO, CTO, or senior security leader.
• Experience with technology risk, governance, compliance, incident management, operational resilience, security maturity, or regulated financial services.
• Knowledge of security engineering, corporate IT, GRC, identity and access management, endpoint security, vulnerability management, or incident response workflows.
• Experience translating regulatory, audit, privacy, or risk requirements into practical policies, controls, and operating mechanisms.
• Experience building automation-first processes, knowledge-management systems, or AI-assisted workflows.
