Backend Python Developer

Location: Remote from Latin America

Technology services provider delivering nearshore staff augmentation and software solutions to U.S. companies, including startups and Fortune 500 organizations.

What you will do

• Develop, test, and maintain back-end services and RESTful APIs using Python.
• Build scalable applications with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps, and other teams on system integration.
• Optimize applications for performance, reliability, and security.
• Troubleshoot existing applications and identify opportunities for technical improvement.
• Apply modern back-end development practices and stay current with emerging technologies.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of professional experience in Python back-end development.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API development and best practices.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and ORM frameworks.
• Proficiency with Git and software development best practices.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with a proactive ownership mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming, Celery, Pytest, CI/CD, DevOps practices, or microservices architecture.
