Regional Projects Manager (CAPEX, Central Europe)

Location: Utrecht, Netherlands; based in Breukelen, Netherlands or Krefeld, Germany, with responsibility for manufacturing sites across the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic. EU work eligibility is required.

What you will do

• Lead a portfolio of CAPEX projects ranging from site improvements to large-scale capital investments.
• Drive engineering project execution across multiple manufacturing sites in Central Europe.
• Manage project scope, budgets, forecasts, resources, timelines, risks, contractors, and quality expectations.
• Lead, coach, and develop Project Managers and external contractors.
• Partner with Operations, OPEX, Global CAPEX, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and site leadership teams.
• Develop business cases, align investment priorities, and facilitate decisions with senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Extensive CAPEX project management experience in manufacturing, industrial, chemical, food, pharmaceutical, or similar regulated environments.
• Track record of delivering complex engineering projects and capital investments.
• People leadership experience, including coaching and developing Project Managers.
• Strong knowledge of project governance, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and contractor management.
• Fluent English and eligibility to work within the European Union.

Nice to have

• PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience with Front-End Loading methodologies.
• Knowledge of European industrial regulations and standards.
