Geospatial Data Quality Specialist (QGIS)

Location: Minsk, Belarus; hybrid work with office presence required during the first three months and periodic visits for team sprints

What you will do

• Analyze, create, and edit geospatial data in QGIS.
• Perform mapping tasks and corrections with high accuracy.
• Conduct QA checks to identify errors in geospatial data and report issues in Jira.
• Research online sources to verify data accuracy.
• Identify patterns in data quality issues and automate recurring processes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high data precision standards.

Requirements

• Proficiency in QGIS and an understanding of maps and cartography.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence, particularly for bug and issue reporting.
• English proficiency at B1 or higher is required; the level must be stated in the CV.
• Strong analytical, research, logical reasoning, and independent decision-making skills.
• Attention to detail, precision, accuracy, resilience, and effective communication.
• Ability to work from the office during the first three months and attend periodic team sprints in person.

Nice to have

• QGIS scripting or programming experience.
• Familiarity with OpenStreetMap.
• Additional cartography experience.
