Senior Cinematic Animator - Freelance (Game Development)

Location: Europe; candidates must be based in Spain. Remote work with core working hours from 10am–4pm CET.

What you will do

• Animate characters and props for high-energy cinematic sequences focused on action and storytelling.
• Create, refine, and polish animation in Maya before integrating it into Unreal Engine.
• Collaborate with cinematic artists to choreograph clear and dramatic action moments.
• Handle technical animation tasks including rigging, skinning, and motion capture cleanup.
• Troubleshoot and optimize animation pipelines between Maya and Unreal Engine.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of character animation experience in games or film, with a focus on cinematic work.
• Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Maya and Unreal Engine.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality cinematic animation.
• Experience cleaning up and implementing motion capture data.
• Based in Spain and able to work core hours from 10am–4pm CET.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment, with strong collaboration and communication skills.
