Technical Operations & Data Systems Engineer (IoT)

Location: On-site in Tashkent, Uzbekistan

SUEZ International is delivering a city-wide digital transformation of Tashkent’s water management system through smart cold-water meters, IoT connectivity, operational data systems, and advanced analytics.

What you will do

• Maintain and improve Python-based data-processing and ETL pipelines, scripts, SQL queries, stored procedures, and validation routines.
• Monitor automated workflows, investigate data inconsistencies, and improve the reliability and quality of operational datasets.
• Support Python-based web applications, internal tools, Power BI dashboards, datasets, and data refresh processes.
• Help deploy and operate the on-premise Smart Meter Management System, including application monitoring, logs, basic server administration, backups, and first-level troubleshooting.
• Monitor deployed gateways and test, troubleshoot, and support smart metering equipment.
• Provide technical support and basic training to operational teams while coordinating with IT teams and software vendors.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in data, software development, automation, IT systems, or a related technical field.
• Good knowledge of Python, SQL, and relational databases.
• Understanding of ETL and data-processing concepts, web applications, APIs, server administration, operating systems, networking, and application logs.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues independently, investigate root causes, document technical solutions, and work with technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Fluent Russian, English, and Uzbek.
• Willingness to work on-site with operational teams and take ownership of issues through resolution.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI or another BI platform, Git, Linux, or Windows Server.
• Experience with smart metering, utility operations, AMR/AMI systems, IoT platforms, Linux administration, or on-premise application deployment.
• French language skills.
