Local Technical Advisor (Pandemic Preparedness)

Location: Home-based; candidates must be nationals of Albania or Serbia, or residents of one of these countries with a valid work permit. The role includes regular field visits to project implementation sites in Kosovo and in-country support for international missions.

What you will do

• Coordinate the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project activities and outputs.
• Provide technical advice on animal health, veterinary services, zoonotic disease prevention and control, and One Health.
• Coordinate with government authorities, veterinary and health institutions, international organizations, academia, and other project partners.
• Plan and conduct workshops, trainings, meetings, Farmer Field Schools, and related technical activities.
• Prepare workplans, terms of reference, procurement specifications, technical guidelines, reports, and donor documentation.
• Conduct field visits to laboratories, veterinary posts, farms, training sites, and other implementation locations.

Requirements

• University degree in veterinary medicine, animal health, epidemiology, agriculture, or a related field.
• At least five years of relevant experience implementing and coordinating projects related to animal health, veterinary services, One Health, zoonotic disease control, public health preparedness, or agricultural development.
• Working knowledge at level C of English and Albanian is required.
• Nationality of Albania or Serbia, or residence in one of these countries with a valid work permit, is required.
• Ability to coordinate with multisectoral stakeholders and provide technical input for project implementation, monitoring, and reporting.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Serbian.
