Applications Support Engineer (Post-Sales) (Electrical CAD)

What you will do

• Understand customer and industry challenges related to electrical CAD-driven software applications.
• Provide customer support by phone, email, chat, and in person, and supervise cases escalated to vendors and third-party providers.
• Build and deliver online and in-person software solution training and professional services for customer implementations.
• Create blogs, videos, podcasts, and webinars to educate users and support self-service.
• Improve customer design and manufacturing processes and build solution definitions using electrical design and manufacturing applications.
• Drive customer success through effective technical interactions and implementation support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of related experience in applications engineering, post-sales implementation, technical support, training, or field support for software applications.
• Experience with electrical design tools in enclosure and automation design, such as AutoCAD Electrical, Zuken E3.series, SEE Electrical, EPLAN, or SolidWorks Electrical.
• Proven programming experience with the .NET platform, VBScript, or Python, or experience in project management.
• Experience documenting requirements, proposing solutions, and working with relational databases such as MS SQL, Oracle, or SQLite.
• Fluent English and Spanish required; Portuguese is an asset. Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time, with travel reaching up to 50%.
