TL;DR
Senior Backend Engineer (Digital Assets): Building scalable backend services, APIs, integration layers, and cloud-native platforms for digital asset, tokenization, and distributed financial infrastructure with an accent on security, resilience, scalability, and event-driven architecture. Focus on designing microservices, integrating banking systems with digital asset platforms, and building transaction, settlement, custody, and distributed ledger capabilities.
Location: Istanbul, VADI ISTANBUL PARK; hybrid work with office attendance two days per week during three weeks of each month and one fully remote week. Additional remote working opportunities are available throughout August.

What you will do
- Design, build, and operate scalable backend services, REST APIs, microservice applications, and cloud-native platforms.
- Develop integrations between internal banking systems and digital asset platforms.
- Support distributed financial platforms covering tokenization, transaction workflows, settlement, custody integrations, and digital asset servicing.
- Build highly available, secure, and resilient services for financial transactions and business-critical processes.
- Improve automated testing, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, logging, and operational resilience.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Business Analysts, SREs, Security Specialists, and global engineering teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, solution design, or architecture.
- Strong experience with Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with event-driven architecture, Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar messaging technologies, SQL and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Git-based workflows.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, system integration, API design, and scalability patterns.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills; experience in Agile organizations.
- Fluent English at C1 level or above and a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Nice to have
- Previous experience with blockchain, distributed ledger technologies, digital assets, or tokenization.
- Experience collaborating with blockchain engineers and architects.
