MongoDB Database Administrator

Location: Mexico; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the office

What you will do

• Install MongoDB on Linux servers and create and maintain replica sets.
• Create and manage MongoDB databases, collections, documents, users, and roles.
• Execute and support MongoDB backup and recovery processes.
• Support MongoDB-related projects across global teams.
• Partner with offshore teams on transitions and work handovers.
• Communicate with stakeholders in English.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on MongoDB experience.
• Experience planning and executing MongoDB replica set installations.
• Experience implementing backup and recovery processes.
• Experience working in a Linux environment.
• Strong English proficiency is required.
• Availability to work from the Mexico office at least three days per week is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with MongoDB Atlas or Ops Manager.
• Experience tuning performance in MongoDB environments.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
