Injury Management Consultant

Location: Melbourne, Australia; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the office or onsite with clients

What you will do

• Build trust with clients and establish collaborative partnerships with stakeholders.
• Work onsite as an in-house Injury Manager for a leading Australian manufacturing company.
• Oversee a non-billable portfolio of 45–50 injury and illness cases.
• Identify barriers to returning to work and coordinate safe, sustainable recovery and independence plans.
• Provide injury management and early intervention services, including gathering information from workers, employers, doctors, and other professionals.
• Maintain strong relationships with site supervisors, the Employer Claims Team, and injured workers.

Requirements

• Exceptional case management or return-to-work experience, or qualifications as an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Rehabilitation Counsellor, Provisional or Registered Psychologist, Social Worker, Chiropractor, Osteopath, or Registered Nurse.
• Resilience, time efficiency, and adaptability when managing a considerable workload.
• Appropriate approval to work in Australia is required.
• Successful applicants must complete a criminal and bankruptcy check before commencing employment.

Nice to have

• Experience in manual handling training, outsourced return-to-work leadership, career transition services, EAP and mediation.
• Experience with physical, social, mental, and financial wellbeing coaching or vocational rehabilitation services.
• Ability to work flexibly across client sites, from home, and on the road.
