Senior Security Software Engineer (Infrastructure Security)

Location: San Mateo, California, United States; onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional office presence on Monday and Friday

Salary: $233,570–$269,170 USD base pay per year

What you will do

• Identify security gaps and threats across cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
• Partner with Governance, Risk, and Compliance teams to develop security standards and policies.
• Harden infrastructure with secure-by-default configurations, designs, and guardrails.
• Own solutions that help engineers design, build, and use infrastructure securely at scale.
• Collaborate with Information Security and engineering teams on secure product and infrastructure initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience writing code or relevant technical experience.
• Experience with automation, infrastructure as code, system hardening, container security, cloud security policy, and observability.
• Deep knowledge of Linux systems and Kubernetes, including EKS, GKE, AKS, or RKS.
• Knowledge of on-premise and cloud-based risk and supporting security infrastructure.
• Familiarity with PKI, data encryption, secrets management, platform security, and orchestration systems such as Chef, Nomad, and ECS.
• Understanding of network security, application security, and information security best practices.
