TL;DR
Senior Risk Officer (Fintech): Strengthening internal controls and operational risk management for a payments technology business with an accent on ICT risk, third-party risk, and regulatory compliance. Focus on facilitating enterprise-wide risk assessments, challenging assessments of new products and organizational changes, and improving control effectiveness across Sweden and the wider Merchant Services Division.

What you will do

  • Promote a strong risk management culture through awareness, stakeholder engagement, and interdepartmental collaboration in Sweden.
  • Develop operational risk management tools, processes, and procedures with a focus on ICT and third-party risk.
  • Advise local management and senior specialists on designing an effective control environment.
  • Facilitate enterprise-wide operational risk and control assessments, including ICT and third-party risk assessments.
  • Coordinate and independently challenge risk assessments for new products, services, organizational units, and significant changes.
  • Analyze control effectiveness, recommend improvements, and oversee compliance with operational risk policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a second-line risk management or control function.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise and operational risk management practices and frameworks, including COSO and ISO 31000.
  • Knowledge of DORA, including incident and third-party risk management.
  • Experience with strongly regulated institutions or industries.
  • Ability to present recommendations and influence executive decision-making.
  • Experience working in matrix organizations, with strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience in payments or banking.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or an equivalent field.
  • Risk management certifications such as CRMA, CRISC, or CISA.
  • Experience with risk management or GRC tools.
  • Experience with analytics and automation tools such as Power BI or Power Apps.
