Medior Python Backend Engineer (AI)

Location: Ghent, Belgium; hybrid remote work with flexible working hours

What you will do

• Turn product requirements and UI designs into high-quality features.
• Develop, test, and debug applications with the product and engineering team.
• Build and maintain a clean, maintainable Python codebase.
• Integrate third-party code and APIs.
• Maintain and deploy production environments.

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of Python and frameworks such as Django.
• Thorough understanding of REST principles and experience integrating third-party APIs.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Ingress, and PostgreSQL or comparable relational databases.
• Basic Linux knowledge in production server environments and understanding of DevOps principles.
• Experience maintaining and deploying production environments.
• Interest in AI technologies, frameworks, or LLM models.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows.
• Experience scaling Python infrastructure.
• Experience working in a SaaS environment.
