Private Markets AML Officer (Real Estate Funds)

Location: Luxembourg, Luxembourg; at least four full days each week in the advertised office under the workplace model.

What you will do

• Oversee AML systems, controls, policies, and operations across private market business lines, including real estate funds and EMEA locations.
• Support client onboarding, risk profiling, PEP and sanctions screening, due diligence, and counterparties identification.
• Monitor AML risks related to real estate investments and transactions, investigate alerts, track suspicious activity, and escalate issues to MLROs and Compliance.
• Oversee third-party administrators performing outsourced AML activities, including reviews of reports, management information, controls, testing, and site visits.
• Manage regulatory change and continuous improvement projects, including updates to processes and documentation for real estate fund structures.
• Prepare AML management information and reports for internal stakeholders, external authorities, boards, and management, and support audits and compliance reviews.

Requirements

• Relevant AML experience in financial services, preferably asset management and real estate funds or real estate investment management.
• Deep knowledge of AML requirements, best practices, PEP and sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and KYC oversight.
• Experience managing regulatory change in business-as-usual and project environments.
• Experience overseeing third-party administrators and outsourced AML/KYC activities, particularly for real estate fund service providers.
• Strong relationship management, communication, influencing, issue resolution, project management, and change management skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workloads and work under pressure.
