National Government Affairs Manager (MedTech): Developing and executing national healthcare advocacy strategies, monitoring the Italian political and regulatory landscape, and preparing policy and legislative materials with an accent on government relations, healthcare policy, and stakeholder engagement. Focus on building institutional relationships, identifying policy risks and opportunities, and coordinating cross-functional external affairs initiatives.
Location: Milano, Italy; the majority of activities will take place in Rome, Italy
Base pay: €48,600–€77,395 per year

What you will do
- Develop and execute national advocacy strategies supporting business and healthcare policy priorities.
- Monitor political, legislative, and regulatory developments and assess related risks and opportunities.
- Draft policy papers, legislative proposals, briefing materials, and institutional position statements.
- Build relationships with policymakers, regulators, parliamentary stakeholders, think tanks, and healthcare policy influencers.
- Plan and execute institutional events and policy engagement activities.
- Coordinate external affairs initiatives with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Communications, Legal, and Commercial teams.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Political Science, Law, Economics, Public Affairs, Healthcare Policy, or a related field.
- Professional experience in Government Affairs, Public Affairs, Healthcare Policy, Institutional Relations, or a related function.
- Strong understanding of the Italian healthcare and political environment.
- Experience in policy analysis and legislative drafting.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, influencing, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.
- Fluent Italian and English required.

- Established network of institutional stakeholders and healthcare policy influencers.
- Experience with advocacy communications, government relations, negotiation, regulatory development, and relationship building.
