Project Lead (Game Development)

Location: Munich, Germany; hybrid setup with office attendance Tuesday to Thursday and home-office availability on Monday and Friday

Salary: €50,000–€70,000 gross per year

Independent Munich-based game studio developing its own intellectual properties and work-for-hire projects for PC, mobile, and cross-platform releases.

What you will do

• Guide up to three game projects from early concept and prototyping through release.
• Own project schedules, budgets, delivery, priorities, meetings, and risk management.
• Coordinate internal teams, embedded teams, department leads, partners, and outsourcers.
• Work with the Creative Director, Art Director, publishers, and external partners.
• Present project progress, risks, and budgets to C-level leadership.
• Improve project workflows and use AI to make project and team work more efficient.

Requirements

• At least one shipped game and experience in game project management.
• Must live in or near Munich, Germany.
• Fluent spoken and written English required.
• Knowledge of game development phases and how development departments work together.
• Strong planning, communication, presentation, and risk-management skills.
• Experience with agile methods such as Scrum and project management tools.

Nice to have

• German language skills.
• Experience building AI agents or automations for project management.
• Experience with PC and console titles.
• Experience with international publishers, self-publishing, or product management.
• Interest in social posts or development diaries.
