CAR T Cell Collection Lead (Cell Therapy)

Location: Latina, Italy; additional job posting locations include Beerse and Antwerp, Belgium; Issy-les-Moulineaux, France; and Leiden, Netherlands. Travel may be required for up to 20% of the time.

What you will do

• Develop and implement commercial CAR-T apheresis and cryopreservation activities for the regional Center of Excellence.
• Coordinate qualification, certification, onboarding, and training for hospitals across the EMEA region.
• Oversee cryopreservation technology transfers to local hospitals and central cell-processing facilities.
• Maintain technical relationships with commercial apheresis and cryopreservation suppliers and hospital partners.
• Manage issues, risks, changes, site-performance metrics, and near-real-time quality investigations.
• Build regional infrastructure and capabilities while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing, medical laboratory science, chemistry, or a related scientific or engineering discipline.
• At least four years of experience in a pharmaceutical, hospital, or blood-bank environment.
• In-depth knowledge of cGMP and EU Tissue and Cell Directives is required.
• Strong knowledge of European regulations and directives; familiarity with JACIE standards and CAR-T supply-chain quality standards is expected.
• Project management skills and experience working cross-functionally with clinical personnel, independently, and in matrixed teams.
• Fluent English is required. Proficiency in Italian, French, or German is preferred.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree or experience in a relevant discipline such as apheresis.
• Direct cell-therapy laboratory or clinical-apheresis experience.
• Experience with coaching, data analysis, data visualization, process improvement, and technology strategies.
